The Otherside

The grass is always greener on the otherside” –

In this particular case, yes. The grass is definitely greenerI haven’t written in almost 9 months, but I’ve finally decided to pick it back up again. It has been an absolute roller coaster of a journey since my last post. I have faced a lot of challenges, but I feel like I’m in a better place than ever. I had been suffering with extreme illness for quite some time but I’m finally on the mend to recovery.

It’s an illness that is worth it though, despite being totally incapacitated for everyday life, the light at the end of the tunnel is just a few short weeks away. I am 7 weeks away from having my first baby. It’s a boy. He’s given me the biggest amount of grief though, and it hasn’t always been pleasant (I’m talking vomiting 24/7, 30+ times a day).

Whoever said pregnancy is the best thing in the world, is a damn liar. I love the idea of pregnancy and believe that it is a beautiful thing. But it is truly, and honestly a very draining process. In between vomiting, back pain, dizziness and the whole nine yards, life feels pretty good. My partner has been my biggest support and my rock through everything. I wouldn’t be here without him. Now it’s just a waiting game. I have 7 long (or short.. you decide) weeks until he makes his grand arrival. Or he could be stubborn and come early which he’s tried to do twice now. But I’m going to hope that he stays until full term and is the healthiest baby he can be –on the condition he doesn’t continue to do MMA kicks to my ribs and lungs…

But there is a quick update into where I have been these past few months, now we can go back to regular scheduled programming.
