Each time I get my head above water and catch a breath, another wave sends me tumbling under.
These waves are getting stronger, and they’re pinning me to the sandy floor below. My lungs are craving oxygen and I’m going to drown.
I’m slowly drowning. It feels like my life is slipping from my fingertips. The currents too strong and every ligament and muscle in my body is aching.
Maybe I should just let go, and let these dark waves take me. Maybe I should just close my eyes and drift to sleep.
My eyes are so heavy, and so is my heart. I want to give in. I want to give up.
I don’t know how I can get through this storm. There’s no civilisation, no land and no boats. It’s just the ocean and I.
A small girl fighting the unknown dark abyss that is the ocean.
This is my call for help…
